As a teacher at a small, private, Catholic high school in Central Massachusetts, part of my job was to act as the school photographer, yearbook advisor and editor, and provide marketing photography and videography to promote the school. Part of this role included "wearing many hats," and included Facebook posts and social media marketing, video production, and contributing photos and videos to the documentary made about the St. Bernard's : All In: The Miracle at St. Bernard's. At the end of 2019, St. Bernard's almost closed its doors, and part of the role of teachers and community members was to come together (All In), and participate in the saving of the school. Today, St. Bernard's High School is thriving, enrollment has increased. and these photographs are still bring utilized today. My job included photography that represented the Catholic mission of the school, conveyed the role that sports play in student life, and showed the diversity of students that are community members. It also showed the life of the school- collegiate, silly, athletic, complex individuals who made up one special community.
